ILLUMIN8 scholarship project
On the night of MArch 6, 2008, more than 500 students sat peacfully in the study halls of Jerusalem's Mercaz Harav Yeshiva. They had dedicated their lives to adding warmth and light to our world. But this night, the peace was irreparably shattered. A terrorist infiltrated the yeshiva and opened fire on the boys. Eight pillars of Torah-study were felled by the hateful bullets. Where yesterday the sounds of Torah gave hope and pride to the Jewish nation, agonizing cries now piereced the darkness.
J.E.L.I. IS HONORED TO LAUNCH A SCHOLARSHIP FUND IN MEMORY OF THE EIGHT MARTYRS.
Each year, we will sponsor full-tuition for eight outstanding students, in the hope that their studies add a comforting light to the dark void that our brothers left behind.
